Code of Conduct – Southport and District Tennis League

Tennis players are expected to

Play by the rules of the game and the rules of the league
Behave in a way that avoids bringing the game of tennis into disrepute
Respect opponents and always shake hands at the end of a match
Raise any issues with their team captain at the time
Use their best efforts in a match
Refrain from the use of audible and visual obscenity
Refrain from racquet/ball abuse
Never use intimidating, unfair or bullying tactics to gain advantage on or off
the court
Win with grace, lose with dignity

Home Teams are expected to:

Spectators are expected to:

Be on their best behaviour and lead by example
Applaud good play by visiting players as well as their own
Refrain from coaching, taunting or heckling when players are on court
Show respect for the opponent(s) of the player(s) and team that they are
supporting
